Increase your vitamin C intake. Vitamin C increases the production of infection fighting white blood cells and antibodies and increases levels of interferon, the antibody that coats cell surfaces and prevent the entry of viruses.
Zinc found in foods like green leafy vegetables, increases the production of white blood cells that fight infection. Introduce more beta carotene into your diet. Found in orange vegetables like pumpkin and carrot, beta carotene increases the number of infection fighting cells.
