Breast Cancer Prevention

Breast Cancer Prevention

Even after cancer treatment, be it with surgery or chemotherapy, it is not a guarantee that cancer has been stopped. Unless the cancer patient strengthens her immune system, metastases to the bones, brain or lungs can develop. A healthy diet with sufficient fruit and vegetables will strengthen her immune system and prevent cancer from developing again. Flavonoids, the antioxidants that occur mostly in bright colored fruits and vegetables, play a protective role. Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and dark grapes have many medicinal values.

Oxygenation of Tissues

Low oxygen tension in the cells promotes the growth of cancer cells that require a non-oxygen environment for growth. That is why a high fat diet should be avoided, as a plaque build-up in the arteries reduces their ability to oxygenate every cell. Fruit and vegetables which are rich in vitamin E and the mineral selenium, assists in keeping you cancer free.  Regular smoothies with fruit and vegetables added are a healthy combination.
